3. How do I use it?
Geotate technology is either integrated into the camera system (Yuma) or an accessory system (Kato & Hopi). Either way, geotagging with Capture and Process is an extremely easy two-step process for the end user:
1. Capture some Photos
Take photos with a Yuma camera in exactly the same way as you do with a normal camera. Alternatively, simply plug a Kato hotshoe onto a DSLR or use a stand alone photo logger and then take photos in the usual way.
2. Process them with Geotate software
Once the photographs are loaded onto your desktop Geotate’s software engine analyses the GPS data captured when your photos were taken to determine the location, then writes it into the EXIF block of the JPEG. Your photos are now geotagged.
I want one - When will Capture and Process be available?
Geotate works with manufacturers to integrate our automatic geotagging technology into cameras and photo accessories. The first devices will be available this summer.
