
Hans Streng - CEO
Hans started his professional career in Philips Research in 1985 before taking on general and development management positions primarily in the area of consumer electronics. He then moved to Simac Techniek NV as Vice President of Business Development before establishing leading broadband data communications company The Industree BV in 1998, which was acquired by BarcoNet NV in 2000. Hans became Vice President of Barconet NV (now part of Scientific Atlanta, Inc. / Cisco Inc.) before re-joining Philips in 2002 as CEO of the Digital Transmission Systems business; later becoming Vice President and General Manager of the Emerging Businesses unit at Philips Semiconductors, as well as CEO of Philips Software. Hans holds a number of non-executive director positions and advisory positions with startup companies.

Mark Terry - VP Marketing & Sales
Mark has extensive International Sales & Marketing experience and a successful twenty year track record driving Mobile Device and Software revenue for entrepreneurial technology companies in Europe. Prior to NXP Software, Mark held senior sales roles at Xerox and Motorola before becoming Sales & Marketing Director for Gemplus in the UK, Sales Director for early stage software venture Intuwave, and Co-founder, VP Sales and Marketing at Fig Labs.

Dr Chris Marshall - CTO
Chris has 25 years experience of creating new technologies and products in and around radio systems, and close to 50 patents. After ten years research with Philips in the UK, in areas from integrated radio receivers through to Artificial Intelligence for signal processing, he moved to Germany for five years to lead international programmes on the creation of new radio integrated circuits for the emerging digital radio communication systems, GSM and DECT. Returning to the UK in 1996 he has since led a Philips high technology consultancy business, the creation of the low cost, low power "Zigbee" protocol and radio standard, and, most recently as part of NXP Software, the activity building the new software GPS technology and products.

Stefan Franco - CFO
Prior to his CFO position with Geotate, Stefan was responsible for the financial management of NXP Semiconductors' Emerging Business Unit, the venture arm of NXP Semiconductors (former Philips Semidonductors). One of the units in the venture portfolio was NXP Software of which Stefan was one of the co-founders and where he held the CFO position since early 2003. His porfolio activities with NXP Semiconductors and prior with Royal Philips Electronics include a wide range of M&A activities in highvolume hardware/software businesses as well as professional B2B businesses.
Prior to his venture portfolio activities Stefan held various key positions as Business Controller with various business units of Royal Philips Electronics. Throughout his career he never gave up on his number one hobby; Stefan is a -close to fanatic- cyclist.

Johan Peeters – VP Business Development
Johan joined Geotate after four years of incubating the Geotate business development at NXP Software from his base in Silicon Valley. Prior to that, Johan held the position of Director of Sales, the Americas for the Business Unit Digital Transmissions Systems of the Philips division Digital Networks, which followed his earlier position as General Manager Marketing and Sales of that business in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. Before 1997 Johan held various General Management positions with Philips Kommunikations Industries and Philips Business Communications in Belgium where his claim to fame is that he made the very first GSM phone call in Belgium after project managing the first installations of the GSM network infrastructure in Belgium.
